The OLinWASTE team also was present at the European Researchers’ Night Life is Science in Graz.
We had a fantastic evening full of inspiring conversations with many curious and engaged visitors!
People were particularly interested in discovering the different types of olive mill residues — such as twigs and leaves, pomace, crushed kernels, and digestate from biogas production — and learning more about our research on how these can be valorized into sustainable products, including: plant protectants
biopesticides
soil enhancers & fertilizers
bioplastics
biogas
…and much more!
It was great to see how much enthusiasm there is for circular bioeconomy and sustainable innovation in Europe.
A big thank you to all visitors and the Life is Science team for the organization — and to European Commission and European Research Executive Agency (REA) for supporting our work towards greener value chains.
